Hi, Here's what I spend far too long looking-at and tickering-with...
[img
It is almost standard (US) Spec - FOX 32 Talas RLC, DT 4.2 Rims, XO/XT, Juicy Ultimate Brakes, Thomson Post/Stem, Easton Bars. De-Brained with Push Tuned RP23 fromTF Tuned (190x50mm) which gives around 135mm travel. Approx. 12.4Kg (L and pedals)
Now with Hope Headset as the Cane Creek did just that, Flat pedals and Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pros for the Winter (Switzerland).
Most of all I love it.

Good looking bike with some nice upgrades
What made you de-Brain?Somewhere in the Surrey Hills :-)0 -
Thanks for looking.
I really had no problems with the Specialized shock, but the brain packed up (after only 6 months). Some of the trails here are very fast and rooty so maybe just rattled it too much?? Anyway sent the shock back and in the meantime thought I would try running a Fox shock, also with the benefit of a little extra travel. Have to say I am really pleased with the RP23. Maybe not as good on pedally single track without the brain, but for 'long pedal up - blast down' it is much better.0 -
Where did you get that mudguard over the front wheel attached to the shock.0
-
It's homemade from some very thin Carbon Sheet and tywraps. Very 'similar' (copied) to the Muckynutz Fender Bender.
Actually works really well and is less than 10g all in.0 -
