Has anyone here cycled from Edinburgh - London?

I've got the opportunity to ride this over Easter - I'm getting the train up to Edinburgh with by bike, and am thinking about cycling back.

I started planning out a route on the internet, and got concerned when I saw the elavation profile and am starting to worry that this might be too much. I've basically got 5 full days in which to do this. I'm relatively fit - cycle about 20 miles a day (commuting) and get out at the weekends for 50+ miles. Hills still scare the shit out of me.

Any advice?

Stay east if you want the least hilly route. Inland for the most interesting route through Scotland and the north of England. The Midlands south is gonna be dull no matter what route you take, but you should enjoy the lack of proper hills.
