    :P

I usually prefer Sram X9, but for this bike it had to be XT, from a time when XTR had only just been created.

What would you prefer? Not getting it at all?

no, i'd prefer to have it left at the post office so i can collect it when i get home from work. or left with my neighbour.

i live on a busy road with lots of people walking past (lucky me!) and ive already had one package go missing. most of the bits that are left, are 'signed for' mail too, i just can get my head around why they thinks its acceptable to leave things in the rain and in full view of the road when their supposed to have been signed for

I think people would prefer their parcels to be delivered safely, or returned to the depot, not left visible to any passers by who could easily steal them, or stuck in the bin without a card through the door, if the binmen called that day you'd be without the stuff you ordered as the lazy gimp of a postie couldn't be arsed to do their job properly

Look, you call the postmen lazy when they deliver packages, you call them lazy when they don't deliver them, you call them lazy when you do and when you don't get a note saying it couldn't be delivered.
Why not just chill out a bit.

Where in this thread have I complained about royal mail not delivering? I have not complained about non delivery

I have every right to complain about the 'delivery' yesterday, as anyone would do. Quite simply someone did not do their job properly, which could have meant the theft of my property

I am perfectly chilled thank you, you seem to be getting your kecks in a twist more about this than I am

If you're trolling, I'd give up for today & try again tomorrow.

maybe the postman thinks you dont send enough business his way so you deserve a reduced level of quality service?
  • Any parcels that don't get delivered to me get sent back to the post office in St. Annes, that only opens on monday to saturday mornings, so i have to miss saturday overtime to pick it up, I'd rather they took it to blackpool or preston, but, as far as I'm aware, I don't have the option, so I have to miss out on money to get it, but I'd rather that than have it left hanging out of my letterbox as above, because i don't have a front garden at all.

I had a parcel delivered some time ago and it placed in a bin; the day before the binmen came along. Sadly as I was away the parcel was binned too. Fecking stupid courier. I did get a nice card telling me where they had put it though.

Where are you people when the delivery comes? At work?
Why not have them delivered to work then?
  • I get my stuff delivered to work, but I get told every time that I shouldn't be doing it. I'm not sure why, it arrives, they phone, and I come get it straight away. Usually I even sign for it.

I keep getting told that they will start sending any parcels back/stop accepting them. That's fine by me too as the sorting office isn't far from work, whereas the one near my home doesn't open at times I can collect from.

I imagine quite a lot of people just simply aren't allowed stuff delivered to work.
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

I get my stuff delivered to work, .

^ this. After the postman left a package containing some valuable stuff behind the pot outside our front door and left no note and didn't bother with a signature.
It also means the wife can't moan about what I'm ordering because she doesn't know.

Sod the jobsworths. There's no reason why you can't have things delivered to work, apart from some dickhead wanting to assert their superiority complex.

If I make purchases with my credit card most companies will only post to the cardholders address to help prevent fraud.

Not had a problem with barclaycard, or my debit card, both of which are Visa.
Try it, my card number is 7895 5685 1247 235
    Expiry date is 5/14
    security code is 899

Try ordering something with that, you can have it delivered anywhere you want!

Ooh, free hookers, cocaine, limes & string on Yeehaa,

oh if you could also give out the missing number from the card number that'd be great...

It's not the card (Mint Platinum) that's the problem with deliveries it's the shop selling the goods that stipulate the delivery address to be the same as the cardholders address

crc do that, its annoying. It only seems to happen when you go through payapl though. I'd rather have my parcels delivered to the nice elderly neighbour 2 doors down.

Nope. Almost all of my CRC and Wiggle orders are delivered at work.
