You've been had. I got those shorts for £5 I bought x2.Life is like a roll of toilet paper; long and useful, but always ends at the wrong moment. Anon.
Think how stupid the average person is.......
half of them are even more stupid than you first thought.0 -

The Karrimor name isn't what it was is it? They used to make some really nice kit, it's all bargain basement stuff now and sold in Sports Direct. The new owner basically trades on the Karrimor legacy.0

I think the original Karrimor went bust. Products are just a pale comparison of what they used to be. Used to make some great rucksacks.0 -
Yep, just google "Mike Ashley Karrimor" to understand what Karrimor really is these days.0

Cheaper than yours but they were the same
Good quality for all the doubters. Will probably out live any Assos kit
and certainly be more cost effective  .Life is like a roll of toilet paper; long and useful, but always ends at the wrong moment. Anon.

I thought Sports Direct had bought all the old Karrimor stock and was selling it off?
I bought a a £6 waterproof jacket that had a ticket of £45.
Used it last night and it was excellent.0 -

Its no better (or worse) than the Aldi/Lidl bike stuff. I have looked at it in store and its cheap and cheerful generic cycle clothing. The fact that its branded Karrimor means absolutely nothing.More problems but still living....0 -

That's the point I was making, I'm not saying the gear is junk, but people shouldn't be swayed into thinking they've got a bargain because it's got a Karrimor logo on it. The Karrimor brand is dead effectively. Or at least, the quallity previously associated with Karrimor is dead.0 -
Got a pair of Muddy Fox bibs from Field and Trek (which is owned by Sports Direct) for £20. Spot on. 10 days touring Croatia they fitted wonderfully. I'm sure a pair of Assos would be more comfortable but £100 more comfortable?
Aldis bibtights on the other hand are awfulI wear Lycra because I like the way it feels0 -
I finally give in and bought a few of the Karrimor stuff before Xmas and I'm surprised at how decent a price per quality they are. OK, the old Karrimor was top quality and capable of climbing Everest. This Karrimor is cheaply made sold by Fat Mike.
The shorts I bought were my usual size "medium", but damn they are tight. I only bought them for the turbo so no problems over an hour, but far too tight for road riding. In fact there's a compression effect on my thighs that seems to work better then my Altura shorts.
Overall for £6 for the padded shorts I think for training and commutes it's excellent value, but I don't know how long they'll last.CAAD9

I couldn't resist popping in as I went past the shop direct in Lewisham. I only had £10 on me so only bought one pair, but they seem decent enough for the ''70%'' off price of £6. Although I normally fit into medium, I went for large and they fit fine.
I did notice that there were a number of Muddyfox products going at 70% off as well. The Muddy Fox track pump for £10 looked solid enough and very reasonably priced. (They also had some at £3.99 but they looked a bit flimsy.)0 -
I got some Karrimor panniers for Christmas about 25 years ago, they are still going strong, top quality gear, my rucksack I have had for a similar length of time, very good quality the old Karrimor products.0
