Hi all
does anybody have a Boardman comp and if so, could you let me know if there should be a cap on the crank by the front chain ring, at the moment I can see down a tube to the other peddle
( sorry for the laymen terms)

Thanks

Got a Comp myself and there is no cap on the centre of the crank, I asked at the time I bought it because I thought it was missing too

I did not notice untill I was cleaning it and thought it was just my luck, only just got it last Sat, took it out Sunday and lost a bit already.

What part of Redditch are you, as I skim round the Studley side on some of my rides ( Spernall, Studley, Astwood bank, Coughton) and actually work in Redditch planning on riding said new shiny bike to work tommorow if weather not too sh1te

I'm in Matchborough, I regularly do a 30 mile loop from Redditch thru Studley, Snitterfield, Great Alne back to Redditch. Couple of little climbs in there to stretch me a bit! I'm not a particularly fast rider, can only average 16 to 17mph on a good day, only been riding 2 years, and at 50 yrs old don't think i will be qualifying for the tdf anytime soon!

    All the best,

    Keith.

sitting in my office on Park Farm and it's looking good riding weather, just about the right temp too but I bet the Studley to Coughton road has a tw@ of a headwind on it today, it's bad on a normal day

Apologies for the delayed response, had to go to work  I would recomend the Comp to anyone, mine has been faultless for 2 years now, just regular cleaning and lubricating after every ride and it's still as good as new.I haven't read a bad review about them yet

I work on Park Farm too, on Crossgate Road, only 2 miles from where I live so not much of a commute!! Do sometimes take a longer way home if time allows just to get some extra miles in.

I've got a comp. I like it, but it's a bit harsh and the wheels are poopcakes.
