Chieveley/Newbury this Saturday 15th
I am thinking about the Evans Ride It event this Saturday but I have never riden in this area or on the Ridgeway before.
The Evans website states "Junction 12 of the M4 might not seem like an obvious area to go cycling but you’ll be surprised! There are plenty of bridleways in the vicinity and the routes venture onto the Ridgeway"
So to any riders that have riden in this area, what is it like? What condition will the trails/bridleways be in? Do they drain well? Or is it likely to be muddy?

Looks like it shouldn't be too cold, may even be in double figures. Ground conditions likely to be akin to sloppy porridge even on realtively well draining downland of the chilterns - can't spare the time unfortunately.
All i'm likely to be able to manage tomorrow is a few road miles.'97 GT Zaskar Red Annodised
