A little anal I know but the little plastic center cap has fallen out of my crank arm exposing a lovely big black bolt behind. Anyone know where i can get a replacement? I've emailed shimano to no avail :(

Not that it makes a difference but it's all I see when I look at my bike now!

Petra Cycles - get the part number (from Shimano website or the instructions that cam with the chainset) then you can search that on here. Alternatively search for "crank cap" or whatever. They do a big range of parts for Shimano.

  • Pfffft, £5+ for a plastic cap. I can live without that! I'll just save a little more and buy a whole new crankset.

Try your LBS. Some have spares laying around they'll sell cheap.

Would a bar end stopper fit?

It may also be a little more than just cosmetic. For your already fitted crankset it would stop water ingress which may rust the crank arm to the splines.
