One of my resolutions prior to going back to drudgery of work was that I would not listen to or read the news. I don't discuss current affairs with colleagues anymore. So far I seem to be less uptight about things that really grinded my gears.
I may miss out on some interesting stuff and it may be 'hermit like' to you but its far better than getting worked up over things I can do nowt about.
Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.

Most newspapers exist to lie and make people angry in order to make money. I'm not suprised that not reading them (or watching sky news) has led to you being less stressed. I think it's still important to keep up with stuff going on in the world, you just have to be careful about what you believe.

One summer I went for 6 months without TV or newspapers and it was absolute bliss!

Ignorant bliss but bliss none the less. There is a lot to be said for it.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

I adopted the same plan, when the whole recession thing kicked off, and it does help!

Anoher way of maintaining a good attitude is to ignor any negitives! Or if someone says something negitive like "there is not much work out there", i say "yes there is!"

Basicaly try to turn Negitives into Possitive and fight the Pesimists & Cynics, otherwise they'll just grind you down.

Moral of the story: "Dont let the f**kers grind you down!"

So I'm guessing Mr Goo you must be the only person on the planet who hasn't heard the fantastic news! I'm surprised you haven't heard all your colleagues yapping away about it... we are talking about nothing else where I am at the moment.

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

Rather simplistic and naive, its about pragmatism & proportionate thinking not mindless denial.

It cold and wet out there today. Ignoring the fact and saying no its sunny won't help. Accepting it and dressing right will.
