anyone else on here done in by these sh1tbags?
friends of mine had all joined and talked me into coming along. Paid my £45.00 only to have this event cancelled. Now the organisers are not returning emails and the phone number on the website is no longer connected. No one i know has had any luck getting hold of them.
Is there anyway of finding out anything about these? I'd like to punch my £45 worth out of someone.

Their website is registered as a non-trading individual:
http://webwhois.nic.uk/cgi-bin/whois.cg ... Submit.y=0
:?0 -
The ride was listed on the Merton Council website:
http://www.merton.gov.uk/leisure/events ... f=AF40701E
You could try contacting them. If it was approved to appear on their website, you would assume that they have some responsibility for ensuring the public don't get scammed.
Of course, it might have been a genuine event which got cancelled, and the organiser hasn't gotten round to contacting everyone yet.0 -
Oh, and another thing. The registration appears to be handled by a 3rd party. It might be worth contacting them as well.0

This site gives another mobile number and contact details - worth a try

Seems like the guy organised a run from Wimbledon Park Athletics Stadium which was the start of the ride that was cancelled. Hercules Wimbledon Athletics have a runner called Mark Baker. may just be a coincidence:

The website has clearly been written by someone who doesn't speak English as a first language. Therefore you can assume that Mark Baker is an alias. The web design is also pretty poor.
80 Trentham Street, London, SW18 5AR does exist – anyone local fancy popping round?
Parts of the website have been authored by: Paola Bailey, Hannah and student2007.
“Mark Baker” may be local, he suggests travelling to the start point by tube. It is possible: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/ ... cles1b.pdf

Google Street View of 80 Trentham Street. So yes - the address definitely exists ?0 -
£45 quid sounds an utter rip off anyway.
And the website is laughable
"The 118 mile road course...Don’t do this if you’re mentally weak. One person looked like they were crying when they finished last time"
A whole 200km of the South East of England. What will they think of next???0 -

The side benefits of the scooby forum approach don't seem the same given Baker is a 45 year old male.0 -

I have been wandering when I would hear about more people that were ripped off by this London2Bournemouth guy.
I got emails promising a refund, so did a friend of mine, but nothing came of them. Did anyone got a refund?0
