But you need to alter Q3.
You ask what age people are but in Q3 you limit the age grouping for first bike
Some of us were late starters

  • Done, making more questions multiple choice rather than making me think for myself and then writing would have made the survey less painful. I couldn't answer Q3. orQ4.

Dad mode on - Could suggest if you are at school, could try to use correct spelling and punctuation. Dad mode off.

    I did the survey, but:
There were no mountain bikes when I was 20. I did build a clunker in the 70's, but you couldn't buy one. So I put down 0-5.

How has recreational cycling changed - only recreational cycling at the time was road riding of one sort or another. We used to turn the drop bars on racing bikes upside down to go 'scrambling'. Loads of fun on thin roadie tyres.

You probably need some history lessons of the times when men were men and bikes were steel.

    Good luck.

Better than some university questionaires we have seen recently!

Done. Maybe try and focus some questions a little more, some were a tad vague.

    Its amazing isnt it!

I used google docs for mine, i presume its a similar system. It puts it all into spreadsheets, even gives you basic analysis and graphs. It's fantastic. I would certainly fail without it!

    Oh and done!

spent months back at uni doing reasearch, posting off questionaires, ringing companies asking for interviews, market research etc etc, still have nightmares over it  . wait weeks for replies (if they bother to reply) collect all the info and then try to make sense of it all then draw graphs and try to decypher mountains of raw data then write about it. now we have google docs, i'm not at all bitter

The manual data crunching can be useful though, gives you an understanding of the inner workings of it all. Of course, it all depends on what you aim to do.
But from an educational standpoint, I'd rather see students doing their own data crunching rather than letting a machine do it - it shows they have a thorough understanding.
