  • The film is shot in Cademuir Forest near Glentress in Peebles.

Cademuir forest is the smallest forest in the Tweed Valley but has some of the best kept secrets. Cademuir forest is in Peebles and overlooks the town. There are several forests in the Tweed Valley but Cademuir has some of the best mountain biking trails. There is really something for everyone in Cademuir forest and the surrounding area. From breathtaking natural trails to peaceful fire roads Cademuir has it all. There is a network of trails to follow allowing you to explore this little gem of a forest .The forest is part of the John Buchan Way which is a fantastic XC trail which I highly recommend. Cademuir forest has been approved by the forestry commission for mountain biking (although in Scotland there is a right to roam and cycle where ever).

    MTB & Road Routes

Pilots trail – is a XC trail with some great downhill sections. The trail follows the path of two German Pilots who crash landed in Cademuir forest in WW2. The trail is mainly single track with small fir road sections.

Misty trail decent - is one of Cademuir best kept secrets. The misty trail is manly fire road but has one amazing section of technical DH decent. There are three main drops and many berms . This trail can become very muddy in wet weather. More info

John Buchan Way- The John Buchan Way is a route from Peebles to Broughton in the Scottish Borders, a distance of approximately 22km (13 miles). The route is way-marked in both directions, and was opened in Spring 2003. It is named after the writer and diplomat John Buchan (1875-1940), who has many associations with the area. The route mainly follows long established hill tracks through the Peebles-shire countryside. It has three main ascents and descents which give a total climb of about 800 metres, but the climb is never severe. The trail goes through Cademuir forest. There are many more trails in Cademuir and the surrounding area which offer great mountain biking. cademuir is only 5 mins from peebles high street so why not give it a go

  • If you open the folder in the side bar each colored line should be named.
