Heading to Sa Coma in Majorca with the family in June and I would lilke to hire a road bike to explore the island and try some of the local climbs....I hear Col de Soller is a popular destination???
Any ideas on where I can hire a decent road bike from....also does anyone have any local knowledge on routes etc for this area
Cheers

Everyone on here seems to like Pro Bike Hire in Pto Pollenca, and whilst its OK its a trek for you (pun intended..)
You can get a great range of bikes from ther German run Max Huerzeler group which has a rental office in Sa Coma, another advantage of using them is that if the bike breaks elsewhere they have offices pretty much all round the coast.

Failing that I like Sescapada in Campos, but its more of a mtb than roadies hangout. Both will be able to advise you of routes in that area, and there are more generic routes here:

Col de Soller is nice, as is Sa Colobra, but from Sa Coma Id guess you are looking at a 110kms round trip...Fitter....healthier....more productive.....0 -
My wife and I done many different tours in Mallorca here is a log of last years which may have some information useful to you. http://www.by-bike.co.uk/mallorca.htm
There is a place in Cala Millor that rents out fairly good road bikes by the day if you are limited in the days you can ride. The larger companies tend to want to rent weekly and are not based in the area you are going.
As already said from where you are staying to Soller and back would be a long ride with some great but tough climbs. But in saying that most of Mallorca is nice cycling country.
If there is anything specific you want to know post or pm a question.
I\'m pedaling around the world looking for the sunshine that always seems to come my way.
