Haven't been out there for a few years but the Quayside and Bigg Market are good places for a piss up. Not sure if they still have that night club on a boat, The Tuxedo Princess? The girls are very friendly if you don't mind corned beef legs and you should get a fight thrown in for free if you say you support Sunderland
Here's a few top tips on how to dress and act when you get there

You'll probably have a hard time NOT having a laugh in Newcastle.
There used to be a disco on a boat called "school disco", playing (s)hits from the 80s, but everyone, including all the women were dressed in school uniform. Might be worth checking out0 -

WE went there for my mates stag do, it was fantastic, I dont know what it was called but there was a really funny little club down some side alley with a really ropey strip bar next door. The club itself was really grab a gran, I mean seriously bad, but so funny. The hotel we stayed in was rough mind, and helpfully, i also can't remember what that was called0

i usually stay in th etravelodge on the quayside mate, if you book far enough in advance you'll get it for around £20 a night for a family room.
i'm always working though when i go up so i don't really know any good night spots
