Fitting Gamut P30 Dual Guide to 2011 Orange 5 advice needed.

Hi i have a 2011 orange 5 and would like to change my current set up which is as follows:
Slx triple ring crankset with 22 - 32 - 44
Slx front mech
XO 9sp medium Cage rear mech (at least i beleive it to be a medium)
X9 9sp shifters
Sram 11-34 cassette
ISCG Tabs ready and waiting on frame.
I want to ditch the big ring and fit a Gamut P30 dual chain guiide and bash ring, mainly for the reason that i don't fancy ripping my leg apart on the large ring when i stuff it also extra ground clearance chain device wouldn't go a miss.
Is it as simple as removing outer ring replacing it with bash guard, fit chain guide?
Can i restrict the movement of the front mech/shifters to just work the 2 rings?
Will bash guard be ok with the 32 t mid ring or do i need a 36, may change to 36 anyway.
Last question..... will a 36 mid ring fit the 5 and clear swing arm ok or is it somehow further out on a dedicated 2x set up?

Yes to all in short. Just set the limiters on the front mech to accommodate for just the 2 rings. Buy the 36 and you can always fit a 36 later on0
