Formula K18 or K24

Hi,
I have just about decided to buy some Formula brakes as they seem to get decent reviews. I have been on the factory website who seem to have good deals, but i was wondering weather it was worth pay the extra £20 to go for the K24's over the K18 (I just ride on forest trails really, no downhill antics). Also they say they are the 2007 model, has there been upgrades since.
I cant see the price of postage either, has anyone used the factory site before and tell me the cost of postage.
Thanks in advance

the 24 was updated in 2009 but the only difference between the 18 and 24 is the pad adjuster and that is reto-fittable to the 18.
I would and have gone for the 24´s."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

whatever you do dont buy either, hold on for this offer, just sign up for the email alert a full set for under £200 and regarded as the best all round brake. far and away better than your 2 choices and if the rotors are too big just sell them to buy the correct ones. another £50 will easily buy you the correct rotors and adapters.

yeah but that's a lot more money to shell out, the k24's including delivery are only around £150 with a choice of rotors. :?0 -
but worth the extra. £50 is not a lot of money for the increase in performanceViner Salviati

but it depends what you use them for, i find my juicy 3's have been fine around cwmcarn, afan etc which is the type of stuff i normally ride. i would rather spend £50 on something else cos it's performance i wouldn't need.
i wouldn't buy a set of codes cos it's power i don't require. i agree that those formulas are a better brake than the k24 but it all depends what the OP wants to use them for0 -
I've got 24s and a set of 18s now as well... Worth it for the extra adjuster IMO but they're both great brakes.Uncompromising extremist0

I think the formula RX brakes have taken over from the ORO's....My bike takes me places that school never could0

Which is why Formula are selling a full setup for about the same as CRC charge for just one brake with no hardware0 -
My sound a bit daft, but what does the brake adjuster allow you to do?
Will it help loads?0 -

It basically adjusts how much lever throw you get before the pads start to bite.
Move the control one way for a spongier 'needs bleeding' kind of feel and the other way for a more direct 'grabby' feel.
That is of course a bit of an exaggeration and there is a fair bit of modulation in between.0
