I reckon that the kinect thing will be the way forward. Imagine playing a shootem up on it, where you just got a gun to hold. It's probably a few years away yet but it would be cool.0

As an online gamer, Xbox is the best console.
The thing is this debate will continue for a very long time, dont go by reviews, go for what youre looking for.
The new xbox with the whole kinect is amazing, and once some decent games are developed then it will be perfect.
The ps3, okay, it has blue ray, um so what? just plus in a hdmi cable, sorted.
xbox is cheaper too, better games/more games. best online experiance , better technical support.2011 NS Core 2. Boing boing.0 -

Anyone got any ideas?
No.
Microsoft are using Kinect to extend the life of the 360 by 5 years, or so they say.
The elephant in the room is Apple. They making a play for mobile gaming with iPhone / iPad, Infinity Blade or Rage show what good platforms they could be etc. iPhone type device + Apple TV with app suppport delivering games to you seems like something we'll see in the next 18 months.
Sony are doing the next PSP on an Android phone by the looks of things too.
Meanwhile, Nintendo is continuing to rinse everyone with innovation.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

the 360 is the better games console and the ps3 plays blurays which cost a fortune. upscaled dvds played through my 360 on my big screen look fine. got a ps3 on the day of release, paid an utter fortune for it and got rid within a month. i found it too finicky and the usual sony hype about near super computer power never materialised as most cross platform games look better on the 360. if you want to watch hi def films the just use the xbox download service as the cost of blurays is still pretty prohibitive . i did enjoy motor storm on the ps3 and gt5 looks good but it still feels like the gt games of old. project gotham and forza re streets ahead in gameplay imoViner Salviati

The Playstation Phone and the PSP2 are two seperate machines.
The PSPhone will fail just like Nokia's N-Gage. The PSP2 will only succeed if Sony back it all the way and developers give it a chance.
The current PSP/PSP Go are the best handhelds out there technologically but the DS has the best software. Although all that changes when the 3DS gets released in March. When/if the PSP2 gets released in November I just hope Sony learn from past mistakes.0 -

It's already here and has been for many years.
Killzone 3 on the PS3 will be Move compatible and will come available with an assault rifle for you to commando roll around your living room with.
Move/Wii/Kinect is nothing new. The PS2 had the Eyetoy...which Wii lovers seem to forget.0 -

Had a good go on kinect on 360 and found it wasn't sensitive or fast enough. Good laugh though and certainly got a sweat on...
Would be interested to see what you think - I was a little underwhelmed...
Frustrating as I got the PS3 partly for GT5. Maybe it's a slow-burner though, I'm still plugging away since getting GT5 for Christmas.0 -

Someone showed Sony the technology in the Wii a couple of years before Nintendo had it. Sony thought it was stupid and wouldn't attract people. Possibly based on their experience with Eyetoy?
Bit of a howler on their part really.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0
