Afternoon all, a friend of mine who works for a company helping people get back to work has just got in touch with a couple of bike job vacancies. The set up was intended for people who are long term unemployed, but is open to people on JSA as well. Here's what they had to say:
CycleActive have two vacancies at the moment each with full training provided.
· Assistant Instructor and Workshop Technician
· Administration assistant
Further details here
These roles are funded by the government's Future Jobs Fund scheme so are available to anyone 18-24 who has been unemployed for roughly 6-12 months. However if you do not meet the criteria as long as you have been claiming JSA your Jobcentre advisor may be able bend the rules for you.
For eligibility guidelines please see here.
If you are someone or know someone wwho could be interested, please pass this all around. It's some good stuff but seems under-advertised at the mo.
