Last week, I found a small Specialized bicycle pump on the side of Grosvenor Road London SW1. If it's yours please contact me so I can return it to you.

I will gladly send it back to you so let me know how to do this - I walk along Grosvenor road most days so it's possible I could hand it to you if we can arrange a convenient time.

Is it the type that attaches to the valve and inflates the tyre with a sort of 'pumping' action?

If so, I'm pretty sure it's mine. I'll PM you with my address.

Looks like it could be mine or Brun's.

My one has a few dents and scratches from where it fell. Yours?

I left it there after fixing a puncture, however it does have a few scrapes from previous incidents. I'd estimate the scratches at about 15%.

My one may have my fingerprints on it, but since its now winter I'm wearing gloves most of the time and my 'prints may have rubbed off. Unlikely to find any DNA, but I'll PM you a sample if you want to get it checked.

    Well what a dilemma.

How about Brun tells me where on Grosvenor road he stopped to repair his puncture - its a fairly long stretch of road and both of you can tell me what day was it when you lost it.

And what the very top of it looks like?

It is scratched and I have no intention of testing for fingerprints LOL.

I lost a pump last week so it's likely to be mine. Can't really tell you which day of the week I lost it as I didn't find out it was missing until I was looking for it this morning. It probably fell out of my bag as I was cycling along Grosvenor Road, exactly which part I'm not too sure as it would have fallen out behind me. It's fairly distinctive though. One end of it is flat(ish), and the other end has an attachment that can be pushed onto a standard bicycle wheel valve.

I haven't seen my pump since the last time I used it and I haven't been down Grosvenor Road since the last time I was there.

With irrefutable evidence like that, when should I expect it to be delivered to me?

HOrg, you didn't happen to come across a sense of humour as well whilst walking along Grosvenor Road, did you? BigJimmyB might have lost it during his commute...

Aww, come on guys - The person has signed up to the forum in the effort of the doing the right thing and reuniting someone with something they've lost. I'm sure they're wishing they never bothered. . .

Would've been worse had they done similar on a certain other forum.
