Out on rides I seem to flutter between Tangfastics and Jelly Babies. Surely they can't be beaten, Can they?
Think I need to broaden my horizons, what do you guys take with you to spur you on?

I second this... NCC dinosaurs rock!0 -

Natural Confectionary Jelly Snakes are my favourite though,Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

Haribo tangfastics are kind of standard issue, but sometimes I'll go for sour mix, or M&S percy pigs. Also, not strictly sweets, but those little boxes of small flapjack squares you can get from most supermarkets are awesome.Santa Cruz Chameleon

Cant believe how many of you are eating sugar! Thats what you dont want to be eating, unless you are in the last half hour of your ride!!
You want carbs that dont sugar for sustained energy in the saddle! I take nutrigrain bars, bananas and a snickers incase I get in trouble.0 -

Because I'm a total arse, I enjoy these conversations, our guide in France started on me... "No, don't eat sweeties, they'll cause you to insulin crash and you'll feel even worse"
"No they won't"
No really, they will, it's a terrible idea"
"Nah, I've looked into this and it's not possible"
"It definately is, there's loads of research, high sudden sugar intake causes an excessive release of insulin and then your blood sugar level drops even further afterwards"
"Yeah but I'm diabetic". "
"..."
"Sorry about that, as you may have noticed I'm a total arse"Uncompromising extremist0 -

this is the best one i reckon.0 -
Liquorice sticks and sherbert fountains. The equal and opposite reaction as the shite hurtles out is a massive accelerator; but a bit smelly to your followers.0
-
also, i like snickers for riding food. i dont know if they offer any nutritional benefit of any kind but they seem to perk me up when im flagging.0

gotta be Roundtree Randoms.
Early morning start means really cold Randoms mmmmmm The best0 -
Just a side note, place an order with both Wiggle and CRC last week, received early this week and NEITHER had a small bag of Haribo.... Not a good start to 2011 bike buying is it.0
