Mornin all

Forced myself up early as I've got an early start tommorrow. I hate waking up early though, especially after a week of lates

Steady day today, popping to Tesco at Lichfield to do shop, (plus I want to try out an indian buffet lunch in the town, smelled gorgeous when I went past last week) After that i plan to mong for the rest of the day, I'll be tucked up in my bed again in 12 hours

  • Morning all,

Just getting my stuff together for a ride. Garden is white from a deep frost, it looks coooold out there.

    Coffee in my water bottle?

Later (about 5) I'm grabbing a roast at the inlaws.

    Is it 5 yet?

    Morning

Wife & kids still away, therefore woken up by the alarm rather than the kids! Feeling below par as went to the pub last night and drank far too much on an empty post peaks ride belly - it was an error.

Now trying to do some studying, but not got any motivation. Think a cooked breakfast would help - but not got any food in :(
  • Morning all, been awake since 6am working, which is not really bad. Good progress, so feeling good this morning.

    Morning all!

    Good Morning Freaks!

Bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast today, so all's good.

About to take the hound out for a bit of a walk as the sun's shining and Mrs C's busy with here college assignment. Might clean the Cakemobile later as it's a bit grubby.

Out later for a Carol Service (it was postponed due to the bad weather before Crhistmas). There will be plenty of foods, so looking forward to this.

Then, I'll be getting all my gear sorted for the first commute of the year tomorrow. :D

FA cup game this afternoon, a day of beer and football planned. :D
  • Bit of a cr4p day for me really. Well, been bit of a cr4p year so far.

Gran died on Boxing Day, all's well with that, we buried her this Thursday, and then last night Dad decided to slip in the shower, and broke 3 ribs. As he has trouble breathing normally, he's now in hospital, on a 'High Dependancy' unit where he can't get out of bed, can't do anything for himself and is in a lot of pain and discomfort.
Then my Mum just went and broke a tooth! I think she's gonna have a heart attack due to the amount of stress she's encountered over the last 2 weeks!

    Roll on 2012!

Can't wait to go back to work.

Expected the sprogs to enjoy the thought of going out somewhere, instead another weekend of fighting, screaming and being sick.

Other half has decided that as I 'get to go to work' I've already had enough time doing what I want so chucked a wobbler when I went out at 6 this morning for a ride so I didn't bother. Walked the dog for 3 hours instead and then went to a cafe for much bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, mushroom and toast.
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Went to bed and 10:30 last night but still only managed to drag myself out of bed at 11:30 this morning. :?

Went to cafe with a mate and made up for the fact I didn't have any dinner last night, came home and, after a 6 month stint of not spending a penny on bike stuff, made some purchases:

    From CRC:

    1 SRAM PC991 Chain 9sp - Each
    ID: 31127
    Unit Price: £18.96

    1 SRAM Powerlink Connector - 3 Pack - 9sp Gold
    ID: 189017
    Unit Price: £3.99

    1 Royal Sub 10 Short Sleeve Jersey 2010 - Medium - Purple
    ID: 178826
    Unit Price: £16.98

    1 SRAM PG980 Cassette 9sp - 11-32
    ID: 25615
    Unit Price: £27.96

I was tempted by the Redwin Red PG990, but functionality won other tartyness today.

    And from Wiggle:

    1 x LifeLine 9 Speed Chain Whip
1 x LifeLine Cassette Lockring Removal Tool

Birthday on the 20th so hopefully i'll get enough to justify some X0 blingyness.

    Evening,

Well I have felt sorry for myself most of the day. And now I'm thinking of ways to cheer myself up, all of which involve spending money I don't have, but I really want a waterproof mp3 player.

Also, contemplating having my hair cut short, and dyed.

    Decisions, decisions.

Well, I've been to the hospital to visit twice today. Turns out he's broken 4 ribs, and now also has something called Subcutaneous emphysema which is basically air has got in between the muscles and the skin, and he's swollen up like a balloon. He can barely open his eyes, it's so strange to look at. He can't feel it at all, but it looks feckin painful. They're movin him to the ICU for the night, so I'm expecting an update tomorrow (hopefully he'll have deflated and will be feeling a bit better. I'd rather not get the call 'come here NOW')

    What a cr4p day it's been.

    missed this thread

well today, on a short notice, i went riding in delamere seeing as i had nothing better to do. traisl were partily frozen but as it got wramer parts of it started getting wet. but overall most track are not too bad but some are very hard going due to loads of mud. i'm getting the hang of some newer track which is good and i'v also tried some new lines.

can't wait for tommorw now as my chainguide will arrive but i have school so that sucks

also been reading my first copy of dirt mountain bike magazine, not bad at all and i'm quiet enjoying it, shame that it had no freebies as they usually seem to come with a buch of stickers
