route guide for the nant bield, gatesgarth.garburn pass ride?
Hi does anyone have or know of a route guide for the nant bield, gatesgarth.garburn pass ride.
I know i can use an os map but sometimes a route guide written by someone whose done the route is a great help.
I don't have a gps so memory map etc is no help.
Cheers

MBR had a 3 passes route a while back.I'll try to dig it out the route card.
Trouble is everyone has their own "best way" to do it.Most I think do Garburn,Gatesgarth and Nan-Bield in that order.0 -
Thanks ibbo68.
That is the order we've looked at. I'll have a search through my mbr mags too. if you find it let me know.

I've found a route-card starting from Stavely but it only has Gatesgarth and Nan-Bield on it.You could easily do Garburn between points 1&2.
PM me your address if you want it mate and I'll send it on.0 -

I looked at doing this epic last year but it never happened. I have done Garburn which was a great descent (although it did involve a lot of pushing from the Limefitt side), but I think Garburn is small fry compared to the other two.
Anyway I did a fair bit of research into it and here are three guides some with maps.

Let me know if it's as good/hard as it looks as I deffo want to do it this year, but will probably wait until summer thoughMongoose Tyax Super 2008 with just a few upgrades...0 -
