I got given some but am unsure of its use.
Can it be used just the same as normal grease? IE wheel bearings, pedals.
What is the difference to normal grease, any advantage or dis-advantage of it?

not suitable for anything really.
but it does depend on what the grease is as there must be 100 different lithium greases."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

ah ok.
So is ok for use with wheel re-building and such then?0 -
I wouldn't use it on static applications - it tends to bond things together. Bearings can be ok, but I have seen it rot seals. And I mean that exact stuff, used it before.
I use non lithium, teflon or PTFE grease for everything.0 -
best grease I have used in the finish line ceramic grease. just seems to stay whatever conditions you put it through.
Lithium grease is really useful for sitting in a drawer for years and years. Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0 -
Ok thank you, so Teflon or PTFE Grease from now on!0

teflon is ptfe.
Ceramic is just a newer versionWhy would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0 -

Just grease is fine for most things. Nice gloopy golden WB grease. Cheap from any motor dealer like Halfords.
I would just use your lithium grease. Absolutely fine - lithium is just added to oil to make it thicken, and be grease. The grease itself is not made from lithium.I don't do smileys.
