I have just moved to Glossop and need some trail suggestions for local riding. I am originally from Sheffield so I know the ladybower routes etc. but I have no idea of any routes this side of the snake, and am having trouble finding them. The only one i know about is the "snake doctor", but i dont really want to risk my life riding up the A57, are their any alternative routes ???

There is an abudance of riding out of Hayfield (that im sure you are aware of?) - is there anyway you can get to Hayfield from Glossop off road avoiding the A624?

The bike route toaster wbsite suggests that there is NCR 69 that pases between (close) to Glossop and Hayfield... may be of some use?

EDIT:

in fact a quick look on www.bikehike.co.uk (OS maps online) shows that the Pennine Bridleway runs between Glossop and Hayfield - maybe an evern better option?
