Dry lube is thinner and so washed off more easily in the rain so if you plan long wet rides then you might need to use wet lube.

Having said that I stick with dry lube as much as I can as it is easier to clean.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
  • wet is better, doesnt get washed off and performs better but attracts more dirt in dry dusty conditions which can lead to more wear so you should use wet in wetter /winter conditions and use dry in the summer months.
  • Muc Off Wet lube at the moment, but amazingly, it doesn't seem to attract much dirt or mud at all, though I will switch over to Squirt in teh summer.
