brands as good as kona

Please can you advise me which bikes are equivelent in quality to kona? Have been recommended coyote michagen & carrer xx15.

Used mainly for riding to work & leisure rides. No heavy duty mountain / off road work but I liked my kona lanai which had its wheels stolen (cost of replacement £110 - is it worth it or shall I just buy new bike?)

It's a bit of an odd question to be honest.

You'd probably be better off replaceing the wheels. They don't have to be the same ones, look on merlincycles for decent, good-value wheels.

None of them are anything special. TBH i'd spend the money on new wheels as you'll end up with a better bike than buying a new 110 bike.

Have a look on CRC or On One websites, some really cheap wheels going at the moment.
Does it have V brakes, if so even cheaper? Should get a nice second hand set for £50.

Kona's aren't great, most other brands are just as good as long as you avoid rubbish like Appollo & Falcon etc
