I fancy doing some training ... can anyone recommend anywhere in the NW I can take my MTB for some training that is worth doing?

loads in the routes forum, try there.

if you want to train regularly the best way is to find somewhere close to home, pref that you can ride out of your front door and dont have to drive to -saps the motavation having to do that.

explore, look at OS maps, you'll be surprised even in a city what you can find make a loop and improve it.

Hi - I'm a novice, indeed still not had a go doing any mountainbiking but just this week bought a bike and have boked next week a day's training in Llandegla - if this is what you mean by training ie an instructor teaching/practical tips and advice. If you google Llandegla + mountainbike I'm sure you will find it and it's not too far away from Manchester just outside of Wrexham. I did find when searching the web some teaching/training based in the Peaks which would be nearer to you and that was cheaper but based on a group of up to 6 and either beginners/intermediate/advanced. I'll post how I get on next week.

I think the OP is after places which have instructors in the NW.

I think they have a guy at Gisburn who does lessons. I could be wrong though.

I strikes me that Lee Quarry could be missing out on a potential revenue stream here. As the make up of the place seems to make it ideal for teaching skills.
