Thoughts to friends and family, this will rightly devastate them

and yet again - according to BBC - the driver has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving. Is this a default as its easier to prove than dangerous driving ? If so its a sorry trend (sorry, maybe that discussion is for a later day but it makes me so angry)

You see my view is that if proven, the drived should never have a licence agsin, same goes for all pproved careless/dangerous driving.

A licence is NOT a right.
Peds with ipods, natures little speed humps

Sincere condolences to Gary Mason's family and friends.Yet another cylist killed on our roads.
Just looked at the road where it happened on Street View, Sandy Lane South .
What looks to me like a residential street with road humps and SLOW painted on it at various points ,supposed traffic calming measures intended to slow traffic down to a safe speed and to protect pedestrians and other road users alike. And then where it meets the main road a messy and confusing mix of junctions and white lines.
The traffic calming didn't work and a man is dead because of it.
