Frankie Boyle on The Buzzcocks/Eastenders complaints

Has anyone seen this? Apparently there's been 'outrage' and 'fury' over it, so I watched it on iPlayer expecting to laugh and occasionally cringe....
Turns out it wasn't really that offensive. He seemed to get more laughs out of the fact that people knew he would make 'edgy' jokes than from the fact he was actually saying them. Like when Michelle Williams (?) said "I think you're a nice man really" and he replied with "well, watch this....". Or when she said "I thought this was a wholesome, hearty, family show" and he said "It normally is, but I come along once a year and ruin it". Even she seemed to find it funny, unlike some of presenters who just end up bullying one/some of the guests (as funny as it is!)
I like Muse, but I wasn't 'offended' when he made a joke about them dying of aids!
As for the Eastenders 'fury'....why, however many days it is since the episode was aired are complaints going up so sharply? Could it possibly be that, just like Ross & Brand, people are being told to be angry and complain, rather than watching something and making the decision themselves? I don't even see how it's offensive anyway.
I don't watch EE, but what I understand of it is 2 women gave birth, one baby died, and the mum of the dead baby swapped it for the live one. So the woman whose baby is alive thinks it's dead. What's wrong with that (in a storyline, not moral, sense )? Or are people so stupid that they take a soap as a model for how to live their lives, and are upset that the BBC has forced them to steal their neighbours babies?!

i wouldn't complain about it but the gf watches eastenders and after the episode was aired where she switched babies i now refuse to watch it as it was such a rediculous story line. but now they've got so many complaints, people will watch it to see what all the fuss is about and boom, ratings have gone up
as for frankie boyle, he's awsome0 -
oh no, it's not offensive. that would be like doing a cancer story line or a car crash scene and people who've been affected by those complaining.
i didn't find it offensive at all, just rediculous0 -
People need to stop complaining about whats on tv so much. Don't like it, theres a simple solution. Don't watch the bloody shows you don't like. It's all people with their heads on backwards who complain anyways, and they have no life. Like the beginner.0

This!!! there are a gazillion other channels, watch something that doesn't offend you, simple.
In other news there has been fury that the Archers 60th anniversary episode was overhyped, people expected a bloodbath but a man fell of a roon, poor Nigel, but however, if you want gun massacres I'm suggesting a radio show about sleepy Ambridge isn't the place to get it0 -
thank you for telling me frankie boyle was on buzzcocks
im going to watch this now, choose to be offended, and then complain to offcom
or alternatively, im an adult so if i dont like it ill stop watching0 -

Anyone offended by Frankie Boyle on Buzzcocks should be made to watch Tramadol Nights0

It was one of the best episodes of buzzcocks! i hate stupid people, they know what he's like, why watch it and expect anything different? Also the entire eastenders cast can go sit on a big rusty spike.0

I have said before. The UK has an army of professionally outraged people just waiting to write their letters...
...and most of them watch BBC BreakfastFormally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -

what I can't understand though is how stuff like this is frowned upon but itv2 or summat like that often shows "Mrs Henderson presents..." well before the watershed. A bittersweet film for me as it has lots of lovely nudey ladies in it, but also features Bob Hoskins' junk
oh and a roon is how someone yells roof when they're falling off one Rod Hull style0 -
Buzzcocks is usually very funny and that one was no different . Not really seen Boyle but know he has got abit of a reputation, as a Buzzcocks presenter he was spot on and i dont know what the fuss is all aboutNicolai CC0

I find that panel shows rein him in a bit which cuts out the stuff that seems to be said for shock value. That leaves his funny stuff which is genuinely funny0

But that's the point, I wasn't amazed or upset by any of it, it was all quite ordinary, it's all the other people who were upset by it0 -
