Which of these winter/training bikes, Cube or Boardman

I'm after a winter ride, also used for general training when the weather's not so good

Halfords have a deal on the Boardman team down from £699 to £559 and I can get a further 10% of that through my work, makes it £504

CRC have a deal on 2010 Cube Peleton @ £539

I'm not bothered about the £35, just which bike does the collective think would be a better buy. I'm leaning towards the Cube but by looks alone if I'm honest. Groupset is similar barring the 105 rear mech on the Boardman, but that is countered by the Tuvative chainset which I've never got on with.

Thoughts peeps?

Always nice to have 2 bikes :D

I don't want to rag my £2k bike through the current salty road crud, sad I know.

From the two the Cube has my vote.

Also you're right, there's nothng wrong with two bikes especially a cheaper one for the winter and bad weather with a set of Crud Road Racer 2 mudguards on the winter bike. Well worth the £25 to stop all the crap flicking up on you and other riders if you ride in a group or club.

Cant beat full mudguards though. Hence something like ribbles winter bike gets my vote

    However this one from Dolan...

...Looks pretty good to me. Plus being able to spec it how you want to fit you makes such a difference
