Anybody hired a road bike in this part of Spain?

Just back from Costa Daurada a couple of days ago. All of the bike hire I seen was all sit up and beg bikes intended for the bike paths along the coast.

I'm sure if you look hard enough you will find somewhere with some semi-descent bikes. Just out of interest, what is stopping you taking your own?
