Rollers / trainers buying advice

Hi there,
I've been asked to look for a good deal on parabolic rollers / a trainer for a friend. I've never bought any of this kit before and wondered if anyone has any advice.
Looking to spend around £100 or so - basically after a good deal.
Are the frame and clamp style turbo tainers with the magnetic brake any good or are rollers much better?
