    Good Morning Freaks!

At the station, about to get the train (obviously) to work.

Need to find a provider of grilled bacon before I get to the office...

    Gooood Morning :D

Last day of "work" today before I head back to uni. Decided I'd finish today and have tomorrow off because there's some fettling that needs doing.

Anyway I'm late for work already, then I predict that when I get there the system will be really really backed up, meaning I'll just end up being paid to sit in front of a computer for the next hour waiting for everything to be fine again. Then I'll do my thing, as quicky as possible, bring the system to a halt again, then get to spend another hour or so waiting for it to clear.

Then I have to go see the dentist, turns out that hockey ball that hit me a few weeks back knocked my filling out and has done something or other to a wisdom tooth that he wants to have another look out :(

Thanks for the head's up, I shall have to check it out. I walk in from Cardiff Central so have a choice of Greggs' to purchase stuff from, although this morning's roll wasn't up to their normally high standards, with the bacon far too crispy...
  • Greggs are terrible at making pig sandwiches. They have no consistency, some days being fantastic, others being horrid.

Today is meh. I have to figure out this morning why one of our dying desks won't output to the amps, change the settings on another desk and solder some patch bays. Then I have to buy my friends present as it's her 21st today, and then this afternoon is my Gran's funeral. Fun times.

Morning all. Absolutely nothing to report from the Land of Meh that is Yet Another Working Day.

Looking forward to a day off tomorrow and an incident/appointment-free weekend so I can just get out and ride.

Odd one today, we've been given a huge amount of liquid fertiliser that had been confiscated by the old bill during drugs raids.

Not sure to do with 400 ltrs of the stuff or the strange smelling plant remains that are on the bottles.

Still undecided about the job front after listening to the radio this morning going on and on about all the delays to national front east anglia.
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

i haven done anythign all day, apart from a weights session. im not doing anything for the remainder of the day apart from a game a squash.
  • Afternoon all,

1st ride in of the year and 2nd time on a bike in about 5 weeks, the belly very nearly got me! :(

The rat bike needs some serious fettling on her rear end. Chain skips like crazy on bottom half of cassette. Hoping the gear cable and mech just need a good clean and lube

Was hoping to get back to my usual 3 days a week riding in, but it sounds like its going to be cut back to 2. The mother in law used to be on childcare duty on the days the wife worked, but she has now decided to get herself a new full time job, so it looks like I now have to drop the offspring off at my parents house a couple of mornings a week on the way to work. Bit of a pain, but I just the wife I’ll have to go out in the evenings more to make up for it. ;)

Hopefully my chains will turn up today, as well as some Sealskinz socks that wifey ended up getting me for Crimbo.

    Is it 5 yet?

Late to work today. Coil spring collapsed on the Golf this morning, proving my point that I really must have eaten several tons of food over crimbo. So spent ages trying to get that sorted.
Which all means I'll be working late tonight.

Just weird metallic grinding when turning the car round this morning, then a THUNK noise. Then realised the car was leaning to one side.
Qutite lucky it didn't happen last night when I was tear-arsing down the mountain roads

    that would've been fun

 Shite, no wonder you shat yourself.

I'm a bit concerned, because my mechanic said "A coilspring will only be about £50"
Surely both should be changed? :?

Nah you wait for the other one to break, then replace it. That way you're getting your moneys worth!

i only did the 1 that snapped, they didn't mention anything about both. normally that's the sort of thing a garage would jump on as well isn't it to make more cash?

Nah, he's alright, our mechanic. It's a family run place, who we've known for years and years and years. I think my dad even went to school with the owner - he's not the kind of guy to try and wring every last penny out of folk.
But it just seemed odd to me that you'd replace only one side.

How the hell did you remember that I have a Golf? I still forget myself, and quite often spend a few minutes looking round car parks for my old 306 with the stoved-in passenger door, and no door-handle.
