Building up a new Px Nanolight

Got my new frame today, weighs chuff all and looks the part too.

I see torque wrenches are recommended, what torque limits should I be using over the frame? I've ordered some carbon grease (which seems to do the opposite of any other grease by preventing slip.)

Any idea how to thread the brake cable through the frame?

Thanks

Torque limits will be set for each individual part Can't tell you a general number to use 'all over'

Brake cable feeds through the frame on the left hand side - through the top tube.
  • Use a vacuum and a piece of cotton to get the cable through the frame.

Frame manufacturers torque settings over rule components - check their web site then the components.

ive built my new nanolight today. not yet ridden it as i have a broken arm as well as not yet cutting the steerer, but no disappointments as yet. torque settings I used are...

5nm for stem fixing to steerer tube and bars

35-50nm for BB (shimano). (I just did it tight as I could without using any extension)

brakes I have tightened to 8nm based on previous settings for other high modulus frames & forks, not ideal approach so you may want to check with planet x. ive so far tightened to 8nm but the guide on my canyon states up to 10nm.

    seat tube 5nm

band on clamp i havent fully torqued yet, Im going to contact planet x as not tightened one of these on a carbon frame, theyve all been braze on previously other than an ali frame.

I dont why planet x cant just issue the info with the frames or post the values on their website.

I had no problem feeding the rear brake cable through the top tube, went straight through first time. good luck with the build
