What a difference 10mm makes!

Have been struggling to get comfortable on the bike for a while especially after I had to raise the stem (couldn't get down as far after an accident) Anyway fitted a 120mm stem the other day to replace the110mm on there and amazed how much better it feels. Bike now feels great. Guess that's the big advantage of a bike fit but just haven't got round to that

It does make a difference, a few mm here and there... like you say, big advantage of having it fitted!0

10mm less stem really helped my lower back. About the same less reach on the handlebars makes a nicer ride too. A few mm angling of cleats stopped a sharp lateral knee pain which jeopardised my cycling.
A guy I periodically ride with has just turned pro. A 1mm saddle height adjustment made 5% maximum power output difference he claimed. I was wary given there's so many variables (diet, fatigue, environment etc) but he was adamant. I still am sceptical. but it wouldn't surprise me in the least either.0 -

If Only it were that easy!! =D
But yeah, small adjustments are NOT just a mental thing... tweaked the crap out of my position, and right now im comfortable, but going to be very interested in what a prooper fitter has to say!
