I've got some Specialized FatBoy tyres which I use on my rollers, but as they are completely slick, are they legal to use on the road? :?:

It isn't like a car, cars need treaded tyres to stop aquaplaning etc, this doesnt happen with a bike so is not needed. Any tyre can be used.

It will happen on a bike, I believe the Continental Grand Prix which they used to do in 1 inch wide would aquaplane at 150mph though :p

Absolutely. I bought at least three sets for my old Marin hack and they were most excellent. Inflate them to 90psi and overtake tractors, milk floats, Daewoos, Hyundais etc

That save me buying new tyres for the road.
    Thank you all.
