I was lucky enough to bag two bargain pairs of 5 ten shoes in the sales.
I bought impact lows and a pair of hellcats.
Both fit fine and I do not know which pair to send back.
I don't really use spd's but would like the opportunity to try.
I ride mainly technical singletrack with a few trailjumps.
Which pair should I keep?

I would keep the Impacts unless you plan on using SPD's. For jumps and stuff I much prefer flats. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

But that was the possible benefit of the hellcat ... If I don't insert any cleats they are just flat shoes ... They are however very stiff and heavy compared to the impact (which get amazing reviews that mat h what you say)
As the hellcat was a newish product I wondered if anyone had comparisons they could make0
