Hows the love for Mojo?

I just want to test the water and see if anyone has been messed about by Mojo or whether they are really genuine?

The reason I ask is that back in the last week of October '10 my LBS put an order in for my forks, Fox Talas 29 terralogic with tapered steerer. I was told that they had some in the shipment and would be in the UK mid Nov. Mid Nov came and no forks.

LBS got on the fone, we were then told begining of Jan. LBS foned them today for an update only to be told end of Jan. As you can imagine this is damn frustrating because I have got a frame and all the kit sat here since Oct.

My LBS asked them if they could get a firm date and were told that they would not chase for a date.

I have a horrible feeling that this is going to drag on.

I realise that they are being shipped from the states and that Xmas and the new year have been slap bang in the middle but I could have bought them myself on the net from the US and had them by now.

This aint a rant at Mojo, just putting the feelers out. :)

  • Could it maybe be the LBS dragging their arse a bit as well. Not really pressing the issue at all with Mojo?

i wanted some tapered 32 float 150's and was told february, so went for standard steerer instead, got them 3 days later, seems to me that mojo werent atticipating the demand for tapered forks

why don't you maybe phone mojo yourself just to see what the crack is straight from the horses mouth? at least you'll know exactly where you are :D

everyone i know who's dealt with them (services only though) have said how great they are

yer i could have waited, but i got a great deal on the standard steerer, so it makes up for what ever tiny difference the tapered steerer makes :)

I probably will give them a bell tomorrow and try and get an answer from them.

  • Probably not Mojo's fault, probably more to do with Fox USA or the factory in Taiwan or Shipping
I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...

I have found mojo to be great.

I never bother getting the bike shop to chase a supplier
You can do it better every time without exception.

This however is not Mojo's fault, they do not control when Fox ships them stock.
The only thing that can be complained about is communication, and how much of that is the LBS?

They sorted me out when my axle was stuck in my forks, giving me advice on how to get said axle out and sorted me out with a new axle too!

Mojo are absolutely spot on - for what it's worth, one of our company's sites is not far from them in South Wales and we had a total mare through late November/early December with couriers and scheduled deliveries to our place. None of the big guns (DHL/UPS/Interlink) would confirm when they could get things from our suppliers to us, so in turn we had to tell our clients we couldn't give confirmed dates for deliveries as well, so I'd imagine that given they're just up the road from us, Mojo were in a similar position.

Didn't realise they were in south wales.

Much to my amusement I could ship a parcel next day to iceland and get it there pre 12am.
The fastest I could get a package to Wales was 5pm, the day after!
