Alright!
Had a Bianchi via Nirone for 6 months & ridden it to death. Love it.
Been offered a set of Mavic Aksiums 2011 version for about £150 at LBS as part of my usual maintenance thing. Is it worth is to replace the stock issue wheels I've got at the moment (Ambrosio WS23 rims with Joytech hubs).
Will I notice much of a difference? Worth upgrading to the Mavic? I'm planning to ride 150-200 miles/week once the weather clears up. Few sportives & foreign trip lined up. Don't know if this matters but I'm about 80kg.
cheers.

Save your money. Wear out the ones you have, then look for replacements on the web. Merlin often have some bargains.0

The Askiums are about 1800g so probably not much lighter than what you have. You can get 1500g wheels under 200 quid if you shop around. I put a set of Pro-Lite Braccianos on my Cannondale and it made a huge difference.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

Rubbish.
But £150 is about 1.5 times what they're really worth.More problems but still living....0 -
cheers for the replies,
How much of an upgrade past the Aksiums would the Cosmic Elites be? They come in at about £280 & certainly look the part. 1750g.
