185mm rotor bracket work with 180mm too?

hi guys.

does anyone know if my current 185mm bracket with work with a 180mm rotor?

    You will end up with only part of the pad touching the braking surface.

    You've told us nothing of the mounts.

    By removing washers I think you have a IS brake caliper mount.

    If you have a PM fork it won't work as the brackets setup the angle.

    You need a new mounting bracket.

    yea i got IS mount. and using POST to IS bracket currently

    I tried this and does not work with Avid's at least, triad about 5 different mounts (post mount) and magura 180 worked a treat with my ashima rotors and avid brakes
    s-works stumpy FSR, sl2 tarmac, siglespeed rockhopper and a bog standard allez

    if your fork is post mount this:

    the only option that worked for me, tried filing and more and could not get the pad to align with the disk, ever though the pad was over the disk, except for magura mount

    thanks for the links.

    a friend of mine is gonna loan me his 180 rotor and give it a shot myself. if it fails im gonna buy the bracket.
