So im looking at a new shape Fiat Panda and wondering if a bike will go in one? It has to go in for security at work. Has anyone tried this and does it work?

It will if you fold down the back seats, put the passenger seat forward and take the front wheel off. (I had a 500...)

I can get a bike in a Smart ForTwo, so a Panda should be a breeze as long as your bike doesn't have an integrated seatpost or you've got a 63cm frame.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

A 55cm frame, with wheels removed but bars and seatpost untouched will fit across the boot of a Panda with the rear seats up and the parcel shelf removed. (In reality, you have to fold forward one seat while you put the bike in and then click it back up. The bars will overhang the seat back into the passenger space).

I haven't tried my ISP frame in the boot yet but theres no reason why it wont fit.

A rubber mat or similar under the chainring will protect the boot carpet.

There's no denying the bike is a tight fit in the space and you will probably mark the side of the boot carpet with the rear mech, but its quite doable.

You can fit one of the wheels in the remaining boot space - the other has to go to the back seat.

(If by any chance its the 100HP version you are considering, do test drive it over bad surfaces. Its an absolute hoot, but the (lack of) rear suspension will make all your fillings fall out )
