I bought this in September last year, and mountain biking has become my favourite hobby! I've uprgraded her with Easton Monkeylite SL bars which are really lovely, a basic carbon seatpost I got given at work, and a RXL stem, and the gold ended lock-on grips, to go with the frame. I use her mainly for trail riding, and plan to race her soon! Normally would have an XT rear derailleur but that is having a spring replaced, so my boss put a Deore one on it for me to borrow in the meantime :)

The 2011 EX7 has different named rims, which are effectively the same, they aren't superlight, but they are strong and quite wide. The hubs are Deore level, and are nice and the bearings spin freely. The wheels are also quite stiff. Worth upgrading if you're after a lighter setup, but perfectly acceptable wheels!
