Noise from rear of bike...

Did a few miles for the first time on my new MTB and have noticed a strange noise from the rear when I get up to a decent pace which can also be heard when free wheeling...

Sounds like a whining noise...

Obviously with it being new it is still running in but is this normal?

    Yeah it does... Planning to go out again today so will look a bit closer for any issues...
