£10? It used to be £5 on here.

Does this reflect the true rate of inflation or are you just getting a bit greedy?

We all need to make sacrifices at times like this, Frank. We're in this together.

Appologies, I didn't realise that a rate had been set. I'll gladly settle for a fiver for "outing" spen.

The above post may contain traces of sarcasm or/and bullsh*t.

It's now £4.25, Osborne cut it. The funds will be deposited in your acount after means testing and deduction of income tax.

How has this thread got to 2 pages when we've no idea what the OPs on about? Is he expecting to be character assassinated for a vague, but provocative post?

    If so: Berliner's a knob!!!

I think everyone has missed the point of this thread completely. I think the OP was talking about 'Trial by Media'

Man arrested on suspicion of murder (Jo Yeates case) >> Man now released on Bail; Police say killer still at large. This, of course, doesn't rule him out, but the papers have already hung, drawn and quartered the man.

He's been vilified for: having wacky hair, being a bachelor, wearing polo necks, being a strict teacher, liking poetry etc......

If he turns out to be innocent, then it's a total disgrace that the press has chosen to rifle through his private life and past and make him out to be some kind of freak, regardless of whether they are technically in Contempt of Court or not. Being a little eccentric is not a crime and he deserved better protection.

You can think what you want, but until the OP tells us: pointless thread is pointless.

You may well be. We'll need to wait for the OP to break cover to find out.

    Brilliant.

This is one of the two crimes that should be punishable by hanging, this and parking on double yellows.

The Human Rights Act, Schedule 1 - The Articles :-

Article 2 - Right to Life

Article 5 - Right to Liberty and Security

Article 6 - Right to a Fair Trial.

    http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/42/schedule/1

Schedule 1 Part 3, Article 1 of the 13th Protocol - Formal Abolition of the Death Penalty. It had already been abolished for murder but remained in place for certain military offences. The death penalty for treason finally abolished by the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. However Protocol 6 of the Act allowed for death penalty in times of war, but later Protocol 13, above, prohibits the death penalty in all circumstances.
