Which is better Giant Revel 3 or Carrera Vengeance race

Like many I'm just getting back into riding after quite a few years. I'm looking at a new bike with £250-£300 pounds to spend. Been to the local bike shop and they recoment the Giant but read some good reviews on the Carrera. Can people tell me which is better for the money or is there another bike I should be looking at.

    For £250 id go for a carrera i know halfords have a sale on now and one carrera is redced from £450 to 250 or so that has deore hydraulic discs and dart 3 front suspension it maybe 27 speed as well, i dont think the giant would be on par with that!!

    That is the bike been looking at. Wasn't sure about the giant there aren't really any reviews on it. Thanks for your advice.
