Troy Lee Designs KG 5450 knee/shin pads

Morning all, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of these (comfort / protection) or know of any reviews? I tried looking about, but can't seem to find any.
I was originally going to just buy knee pads but i got fed up with my pedals hitting into my shins so i thought i'll get shin pads too. I was originally looking at the Kyle Straits but a shin pad doesn't seem to fit with them, i could be wrong with this. They don't seem to be released until March though, i've seen them on the ChainReaction Cycles site.
