I am a bit disappointed with January sales in the cycling world. I've seen decent discounts on parts and accessories, but no discounts on frames or full bikes in the sales. What's the best discount you've seen, on what and where?

Your best bet is to keep an eye on Merlin Cycles; they've got a store on ebay and often have decent deals regardless of the time of year. More importantly for me they also offer great service.0

Stonehenge Cycles has some good offers on bikes at the moment, Bianchi Infinito Veloce for £1468 or Athena version for £1893, damn shame they don't have my size!

December/ January is the wrong time of the year for discounts on bikes and frames - this happens at the end of the season i.e. September - the cycling industry works to a different calendar to the high street.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Stores are offering 10-20% off 2011 kit in early January.
I'm about to buy a 2011 Specialized Allez Elite which retails for £920. Shop around online and it can be found for £736 - bargain !!
At the other end of the scale - How about a 2011 S-Works Tarmac for £4600, a saving of £1,140.Specialized Enduro SL Pro Carbon
Specialized Stumpy Evo Carbon
Canyon Aeroad Disc Di2
Specialized FSRxc - XC Race Bike0 -
Parker have a pretty big sale, lots of Assos/Pearl Izumi stuff is "reduced" but I'm not sure if that necessarily makes it cheaper than shopping around...
