Has anyone been MTB in Baja Mexico or Hawaii?

Hi there,Has anyone been mtb in mexico or hawaii. Im off on holiday and was hoping to get some good rides in. Will be travelling up baja for 10 days and then will be in Hawaii (Maui and Oahu) for another 10 days.I won't be taking my own bike so will have to rent one out. Can i just turn up or do i have to book in advance.Any suggestions welcomed.
