Hay Wood- best way to ride.

I recently went to Hay wood recently and although I found it quite good fun it felt quite disjointed, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a particular route. Do you normally stick to the main tracks or move more deep into the forest?

Hay wood near Rowington/Lapworth/Solihull?
I'm in Solihull too, been to Hay Wood several times, but never really been able to pick out any trails there. There's the fire road type thing down the middle but other than that it's just where people have walked their dogs I think. So the trails tend to disappear pretty quickly and go over ditches, fallen trees etc that aren't 'rideable'
It's small enough that you can just spend a bit of time riding around to find stuff though. But it's flat and usually muddy, like so much around here!
