rear mechs
Hi all,
I am mountain biker popped in from the other side to as a question
I have and old trek road bike i was gave last year its rear mech is missing a jockey wheel and bolt from i can work out the cheapest option for me would be to get shimano sora to replace the rsx one that is on it only thing is its 8 speed and the sora is 9.
So my question is can i just use the high low limiter screws to make it just work on the 8 speed cassete with no real problems
Thanks for your help guys

Cheapest option would be to replace the jockey wheel and screw surely? Sora ( mech will work fine on an 8 speed drivetrain.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Cheers for the reply, i can get a sora mech for 16 quid on crc, i reckons it would work about the the same for a set of jockey wheels and new bolt unless you know of somewhere cheap for road spares that sell single jockey wheels and a new bolt0

You could try Westbrooks in Stokesley - www.westbrookcycles.co.uk - i read on another forum they are really helpful for 'unusual' spares0
