Ooh, get you! :) That's a pretty decent haul there Northernneil. I got a lovely LS Pearl Izumi BigIP jersey, it's a bit pricey so not the sort of thing I would normally buy myself. I also got a decent hat. Just waiting for a day when it will be over 2 degrees so I can wear them them out on a ride

Some good stuff here too, although I can live without the nose/ear trimmers, even if I do actually need them:

  • A got a Bike Scotland Trails Guide and a Cyclist Repair Kit from Lush. However during the year I took predelivery on a set of Magic Shines, some new over shoes, and a Bonty skull cap.

PS I have checked behind both sofas and I'm still Kevin Bloody Wilson.

  • Very nice rechargeable bike light. I'll be able to go out in the dark, down unlit country lanes. Just need the ice to melt ....

100 greatest cycling climbs (i've only been up 3, but also down 3 others).
I should get out more (on the bike)

yeah, been a bit lucky really. With money as it is we said to each other (wife) that we would not go mad... BUT I am doing the Etape this year so need to train hard from now but with the weather like it is ..... really 'needed' a turbo

down side is that i had to get her something of equal or > value, so perfume, ipod touch and few funny things later and we have probably spent more than we can afford for the moment but s0d it i still get a new trainer !

  • Mrs SG came up with a Shutt Softshell Jacket (glad I/she ordered the larger size  ) A friend has given me a bell/compass and a book called 'Over The Hill And Round The Bend' by Richard Guise. It is sub-titled 'misadventures on a bike in Wales', considering she was a witness to my efforts in the Elan Valley and on Anglesey; she can be very sharp when she chooses.

absolutely f all cycling related, except a photo in a frame of me and the boy at the tdf in the summer (which is quite cute). However, the boy got a DVD of Jour de Fete, possibly the greatest cycling movie ever made, and we all enjoyed it on the data projector last night, played through my new hi fi, so all is not lost!
